Cookies and storage
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. The short answer
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics product, no advertising tag, no social widget and no third-party script of any kind loaded by these pages. The fonts are served from this same site rather than from an outside font service.
One value can end up in your browser, and only if you act: the entry that remembers you dismissed the storage notice. It is described in the table below.
2. What is stored
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ud-consent | Strictly functional, sessionStorage | Records that the storage notice was dismissed, with the value ok or nope, so it does not reappear on every page in the same tab |
Until the browser tab is closed | This site |
| Delivery-network mechanisms | Technical, network level | Cloudflare, Inc. sits in front of this site as a content delivery network and may use technical mechanisms at its own level to route requests, serve cached files and filter automated abuse | Set by Cloudflare, not by this site | Cloudflare, Inc. |
3. What is deliberately not used
localStorage is not used anywhere on this site. Neither is IndexedDB, nor any cookie written by these pages. The single entry above lives in sessionStorage, which browsers clear automatically when the tab closes, and that is a deliberate choice: a notice that only reports what the site already does has no reason to outlive a visit.
There is also nothing to consent to in the usual sense. Dismissing the notice does not switch anything on, because there is nothing waiting to be switched on. Both buttons do the same thing to the page; they simply record which one you pressed.
4. Clearing what is stored
Closing the tab removes the entry. You can also clear it at any time through the site data or storage section of your browser settings, and every current browser lets you block storage for a site entirely. Blocking it changes nothing about this site except that the notice will appear again on your next visit.
5. Related pages and contact
The wider picture, including the server logs and the delivery network, is set out in the privacy statement. The terms for reading the site are in the conditions of use. If you find behaviour on this site that contradicts anything written here, please tell me at notes@unitdigest.com and I will correct either the site or this page.
6. Changes
If a future version of the site stores something new, this table will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top of the page will change with it.
